Most of the
time I have
so many
ideas
floating
around in my
noggin about
the Jazz and
the NBA,
that I have
a hard time
picking the
one I want
to write
about.
Right now,
I’m almost
at a loss.
Almost.
What can you
say about a
crazy year
like this?
When the
Jazz have
lost more
games to
injury than
in the
previous two
years
combined?
How can you
put on your
rose colored
glasses and
spin some
positives
when it’s so
dark you
can’t see
your hands
in front of
your face?
It’s better
than having
the Jazz
healthy, and
then
struggling,
I guess. Not
much. I know
what’s going
on, and yet
I’m as
frustrated
as anyone
with the
struggles of
the Jazz
this year.
Maybe more
so.
Are there
positives we
can take to
the bank
about this
year right
now? Yes.
Are there
some real
problems
that need to
be addressed
before this
team can
reach its
potential,
and play as
well as I
would
expect?
That’s a
pretty high
level, by
the way. You
probably
already knew
that from
reading my
articles in
the past.
I think this
could be a
very good
Jazz team.
It’s not
there yet.
And the
reasons I
think so
might
surprise
you. –

I get paid
ridiculous
amounts of
money to
write for
Jazzhoops.net,
so why then
do I really
care about
Carlos
Boozer?
It’s just a
job, man.
Collect the
money, buy
another
house or
Bugatti
Veyron. A
black and
red one.
Maybe I’ll
travel to
the Italian
Riviera for
the
Holidays,
rent a
Gulfstream
and invite
twenty of my
closest
friends.
Wait, I
don’t have
twenty
friends. I
used to, but
that was
before I
started
caring only
about
myself.

It’s been an
interesting
start of the
season for
the Utah
Jazz. You
might say
that, and
then you
might say
it’s been a
disaster of
great
magnitude.
While the
Jazz are
struggling
with
injuries and
putting a
consistent
team and
effort on
the court,
the NBA as a
whole is
having a
season that
can only be
described as
bizarre.
Let’s look
at the NBA
first.
Boston,
Cleveland
and the
hated Lakers
are having
great starts
to the
season, and
that means
they’re by
far the best
teams in the
league,
right? Yes,
for now.
